Who produces the profiles
The Seattle Slope & Wall research desk maintains the catalog as an independent editorial research project. Profiles are assembled from public records and clearly identified company-published sources. No contractor authored its launch profile.
Source order
Official Washington and municipal sources take priority for registration, insurance, bond and permit claims. Company websites may support contact details or company-stated services, but those claims are labeled separately from official evidence.
Selection and ordering
The launch set required a matched active Washington registration, current bond and insurance at review, and at least one relevant Seattle permit since 2021. More permit evidence may place a profile earlier in browse results, but the order is not a quality rating or recommendation.
Corrections
Material corrections are checked against a cited source and receive an updated last-checked date. We preserve distinctions such as open, dismissed, satisfied, closed, inspected and violated instead of collapsing them into a generic warning.
Commercial separation
No company paid for inclusion in the launch catalog. If sponsorships, display advertising or lead services are introduced, paid placement will be visibly labeled and will not alter the underlying public-record fields.
Automation and human review
Software helps collect, match, organize and materialize records. The launch set also received manual browser review of Washington L&I Verify results. Automated matching can still be wrong; direct source links and the correction process exist so claims can be checked.
